The Warm Audio TB12 Tone Beast Black is a mic preamp that's capable of producing a range of characteristic sounds. It is designed with top-tier CineMag transformers and multiple discrete signal paths that offer a big, bold, fully-professional sound. The TB12's real magic lies in its multiple discrete signal paths. With the flip of a switch, you can select between different transformers, op-amps, and capacitors, thus enjoying a myriad of tones. The two op-amps and two output transformers at the flip of their switches are designed to impart character. The 100% steel output transformer colors the signal more than the 50% nickel transformer when pushed. However, both are designed to impart character.
