Great Distortion Pedal

This was the second foray into Way Huge Pedals for me, the first being the Saucy Box. I didn't really know what to expect even with all the video demos online. I would describe this unit as a unique distortion pedal, modern in its sound but also vintage. It's highly tweak-able like almost all of Tripps designs which may cause some frustration but once you get through it you'll be rewarded. I would say this is almost like a Rat driven AC30 but that might over simplify how aggressive and mean this is. I would also say you can dial in the sound of a direct into mixing board type effect ("Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin) as well. My one issue with this pedal is if you boost it, it goes into ice pick territory. I would recommend the Angry Troll if you plan to stack, it rolls off the highs the FT seems to get when boosted.
