DD11 Dime Distortion Review | MXR | Guitar Effects | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The MXR DD11 Dimebag Distortion Pedal receives a mixed reception. Users highlight its sharp, scooped sound akin to a bold barbeque sauce—distinct yet potentially overwhelming. It's praised for versatility, fitting genres from blues to metal, and compatibility with diverse gear like Fender and Gibson setups. However, the pedal's sound can be polarizing, possibly lacking subtlety for some tastes. Overall, it scores decently with a 7.8 from users, but its very specialized tone might not be for everyone.

Great distortion pedal

I bought this pedal second hand not knowing what it would sound like. I was very pleased that it has the sound I am looking for, instant metal tone. I have the Full Bore Metal pedal and this one is far superior to that. It's very easy to dial in the perfect sound. If you are looking for high gain metal tone, this one is a no brainer. It is true to the Pantera sound (inspired by Van Halen). If you like these bands, this pedal is for you.

If I have the DimeBolt I gotta have the Distortion Pedal

I got this pedal back in 2006 for my pedalboard. This pedal is also a harsh mistress. I run my NoiseGate along with it to cut down on the hiss and any other noises. 1966-2004 \M/ DLA
