Fehrplay's compact, portable studio setup includes the Apogee Duet FireWire Audio Interface, paired up with Dynaudio monitors.

Fehrplay uses the compact Akai Pro LPK25 MIDI keyboard in his outdoor studio setup.

Fehrplay's hardware synth collection includes the Nord Lead 2.

Some studio photos reveal Fehrplay uses a dual monitor setup, with one of the monitors being the Apple 23" Cinema Display.

When asked how he prepares for a live set, Fehrplay says he uses Ableton Live to try out tracks, to "see what mixes go good together."

"I love mixed in key, although I don't always mix in key. But its a good way keep a nice harmony flow."

The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is the audio interface Fehrplay's uses in his gear setup during his tours.

Fehrplay produces using Apple's Logic Pro DAW.

In this photo Fehrplay posted to Facebook of his studio, on the right hand side you can see a tabletop rack stand with the brand "Stagg" written on it. This makes it the Stagg MRSA8U 19 inch 8U tabletop rack.

In this studio session video Fehrplay uses u-he ACE for his bass sound at 1:02.

In Fehrplay's twitter Q&A he said he uses a Sennheiser MK4 microphone to record his own sounds.

"This is my more expensive headset, it's a Beyerdynamic T1. It's very accurate. It's a great headset," says Fehrplay, at 0:20 in this video.

“I love the Korg M1. I’ve got to say it’s the most beautiful-sounding soft synth I’ve ever had – it almost sounds like the real thing! It’s quality, and it doesn’t crash. Other than that I use some of the u-he synths – ACE for example is really good – and I’m trying to get into Xfer Records Cthulhu. It’s an arpeggiator and chord generator, and it’s pretty fun, but it’s still kind of Greek to me!

Then I like Sausage Fattener, really subtle, just at maybe 3% or something, because it can make a radical, radical change when it kicks in.

On the buss I’d start with the C1 Compressor from Waves. It’s really, really tight when you get it right.

hat’s funny is after watching Interstellar I got hooked on organs! So I went to find the best- sounding, proper pipe organ there is, and I found this one from someone called Milan Digital Audio called Hauptwerk. It’s a 40GB library of just two organs! The sound is unbelievable. It’s kind of funny as I don’t think a lot of people know about it, but it’s completely insane. I’m working on quite a few new tracks with that in it. You don’t really hear that pipe organ a lot in club music, so I’m going to try it out!

Fehrplay is confirmed to use the ME Geithain RL 944K studio monitors, as he is seen utilizing them in the video "Fehrplay // How to layer and process kick drums," which was uploaded by Audiotent.

In the video titled "Fehrplay // How to layer and process kick drums," published by Audiotent on YouTube, Fehrplay demonstrates how he uses the Vermona Kick Lancet to create kick drums for the Artist Kicks library.
