Critic Reviews

ART Tube MP/C

soundonsound.com

The ART Tube MP/C impresses with its hybrid valve preamp and optical compressor, delivering a surprisingly refined sound for its price. While its subtle coloration adds pleasing warmth without sacrificing clarity, the compressor effectively balances sound levels, offering both transparent and characterful compression. However, it does not handle overload gracefully, resulting in harsh clipping. Overall, the Tube MP/C is a versatile and musical preamp-compressor, ideal for those seeking affordability without compromising on quality.
