a solid parametric EQ for cheap
This EQ lacks a bit of head room but is very functional. Not as transparent as klark teknik but keeps up with the orban EQs and orban designed dbx 242.... solid guitar track EQ. I scored 2 of these for $200 after being told daft punk used them. They don't suck but aren't particularly musical and require good ears. Not my first choice but solid and useful for very little money. I love cheap, useful gear. Do not pay more than 150 USD, poor man's dbx 242 EQ..... over that and you can get a 242. I suspect this is Uli's budget clone.... probably made mostly in west germany in the e0s.... another mono contender arethe symetrix mix pre EQ half racks which are somewhat better and the single channel 80s and 90s klark tekinks but they can command more money. This sounds much better than stock ashly, furman and and rane parametrics of the era whch sound grainier uptop though cleaner in bypass.
