Critic Reviews

UW300 Ultra Wah Review | Behringer | Guitar Effects | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Behringer UW300 Ultra Wah delivers a lackluster auto-wah sound and an even weaker manual sensitivity wah. Despite its affordability, the pedal falls short in reliability and sound quality, with the reviewer not recommending it for any music genre unless you're specifically into Behringer's sound. For better performance and durability, consider investing in a more expensive alternative.

UW300 Ultra Wah Review: I don't recommend this pedal. Consider a more expensive pedal, because... | Behringer | Guitar Effects | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Behringer UW300 Ultra Wah is a budget-friendly pedal that struggles to meet expectations. While it offers a passable auto Wah sound, the manual Wah is nearly non-existent, and the pedal suffers from a crackling noise during intense play, which can be quite off-putting. Build quality is a concern, with its plastic construction feeling unreliable for gigs. The pedal's power light issues and cumbersome battery fitting further detract from its appeal. Overall, this pedal is regarded as a poor choice, with better options available at a slightly higher price point that promise durability and superior sound quality. Avoid if you're seeking a reliable and versatile Wah pedal.

It's a fair pedal for the price

I really enjoy using this pedal ON BASS, because I like auto wah on it. It's fairly good. On guitars, I really hate it, I'd prefer the "Cry Baby" one, for using on a guitar. The only problem I may take out of it is the noisy sound it does on the amplifier, so we need to be aware of the definitions we use on it so it doesn't do that sound that much. Plus, using a good amplifier can reduce the irritating sound it can make. But summing up: it's a fair pedal, the effect is good, pity the noise it does, tho we can correct it a little bit.

Little update: Today (12/09/2016) I have played bass and used this pedal and found out that the noise that my practice amplifier by Harley Benton does is the main of the reason why the pedal does mostly that sound I refered above. As I said, good definitions + good amplifier!
