Description

Has your love of the halfling’s leaf clearly slowed your mind? Do you follow the smoke to the riff filled land? Do you just want the sickest, gnarliest fuzz tone and want more control than the GANDALF offers? Then the MITHRANDIR OCTAVE FUZZ is for you. Your spell is cast with an opamp blasting a transformer and some germanium diodes (creating an octave up/ring mod effect). Every control you need to create your own perfect alchemical recipe.

The MITHRANDIR OCTAVE FUZZ stacks perfectly before or after any other dirt you want to throw at it. Absolutely incredible for adding some attack to your bass as well!

Clicking the octave off sends you into dirty boost mode which will absolutely decimate most any Amplifier!

This design is my response to the regular requests for an FZ2 “clone”. I’m not big on cloning other pedals and prefer to create my own designs, so THE MITHRANDIR is born.

Guitar Pedal X - News - Blackhawk Amplifiers' Mithrandir and Valhalla are two Superior Extended-Range Takes on Super-Fuzz and 2-Transistor Style Fuzzes

guitarpedalx.com

The Blackhawk Amplifiers Mithrandir Octave Fuzz delivers a rich and nuanced harmonic octave fuzz that stands out in the crowded fuzz pedal market. Its vintage-inspired design requires some cranking to unlock its full potential, making it ideal for players seeking that classic sound. However, it may experience a slight volume drop with the Octave Blend pushed too far. While it excels in tone and texture, the need for significant adjustment may deter some users. Overall, the Mithrandir is a delightful addition for those willing to engage with its intricacies, promising lush saturation and extended sustain that will surely appeal to fuzz aficionados.
