Better than any Gibson Les Paul I’ve ever played
I’ve played quite a bit of different Gibson Les Paul guitars and even had an R9 Gibson Custom Shop Guitar. But here’s the lowdown on the Burny.
The specs and built constructionon the FLG-90 are closer to an original 1959 Gibson Les Paul than anything Gibson makes today. It’s literally a 98% copy of an original Burst.
-One piece neck with a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard -One piece solid body -Nitrocellulose finish -Pickups are L-8001 which only the early models of this Guitar had but they’re one of the closest PAF copies you’ll find. -Long neck tenon joint -Old growth mahogany, the weight of the guitar is about 8.5 pounds -50s wiring with braided wires -Mother of Pearl inlays
Specifically these guitars were made from 1980 through 1981 and are very rare. It flies under the radar compared to other MIJ Les Paul copies what is just as good as the very high-end model, Greco and Tokai guitars.
If you have the opportunity to play or purchase one, you should go for it you won’t find a Gibson as good as these. And they’ll keep appreciating in value.
There’s not really many Les Paul guitars that come as close as this one to an original 1959 Burst. Not even Gibson.
