Description

The VP28-Platinum Mic / Line Preamplifier by CAPI

The CAPI VP28-Platinum is a premium hand-built 500-series mic/line preamp from CAPI’s Platinum line, crafted in Nashville with high-end components for rich analog tone and versatility. It combines a true two-stage amplifier design with stepped gain control, allowing up to 72.1 dB of total gain and flexible tonal shaping for sources from vocals to instruments. Premium CA2618 input transformers, CA2623-Pt Litz wire output transformers, and discrete CA-0252 opamps deliver depth, clarity, and harmonic warmth. A front-panel FET DI (auto-switching) and selectable input impedance expand creative tracking options, while a buffered 80 Hz high-pass filter and console-style LED meter add studio-grade control and monitoring.
