Description
The 1959 Custom Kraft "Sizzler" K4144, built by Kay in Chicago, is a rare and eye-catching solid-body electric guitar that embodies late-’50s atomic-age flair. Featuring a set maple neck with adjustable truss rod, a short scale fingerboard, and a distinctive V-notch cutaway, the Sizzler delivers both playability and style. Its two single-coil pickups — often compared to DeArmond "pancake" pickups — offer a bold, punchy tone with vintage character. The electronics are mounted on a single-ply white pickguard, paired with a chrome tailpiece and adjustable maple bridge. Finished in a vibrant sunburst with a unique "Plextone" splatter design, this guitar is a standout piece of mid-century American craftsmanship.
