DOD Mini Volume and Mini Expression review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

DOD's Mini Volume and Mini Expression pedals are compact marvels, bringing maximum functionality with minimal bulk. Their passive design means no power issues, while their solid steel construction ensures durability. The Mini Volume's treble-bleed circuit prevents high-end loss, and the Mini Expression's versatile resistance slider excels in flexibility. Despite a lack of tuner output, these pedals are wisely designed to avoid tone loss, making them a robust choice for musicians seeking efficient, reliable gear. In short, DOD delivers another thoughtful product with these Mini pedals.

well built professional volume/expression pedal with one glaring issue

There really isn't a lot to say here. Superior build quality, feels comfortable under my feet, can easily take a beating and is small enough to fit on most boards. Looks class, is classy, the whole unit just screams quality. One VERY big issue I have with it is the sweep on this pedal is almost non-existent. it's basically an on/off switch and there isn't much to do out of the box to fix that, even tightening the pedal response with the Allen Wrench provided makes it stiffer but a lot more uncomfortable to sweep. It's because of that huge thing, I don't really recommend this to any professional gigging musician out there. We get these kinds of pedals for swells at the end of the day and it's a shame that such a pro looking and feeling piece of kit can let me down this much.
