Erica Synths Sample Drum review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

This sampler offers a fun and engaging experience for slicing loops with its dual-channel setup and built-in effects. The hands-on controls and preset-saving capabilities are commendable, making it a versatile addition to a modular rig. However, it falls short with no timestretching or transient detection, limiting its utility for complex beat manipulation. The 12-bit recording quality may not be suitable for all, and the initial sample set lacks inspiration. While it presents great potential for creative exploration, it’s essential for users to consider its limitations regarding sample slicing and modulation options.

very good but not for me

Very interesting eurorack module but not so much good for my purposes... Personally i have noticed that i didn't feel like confortable with the workflow based to pushing/searching menus into small display... Just my personal opinion, anyway the module is fantastic and very good for breakbeats and techno fans (not my way).

Thanks for the honest evaluation. I've got one of these on lone to a friend that I've literally haven't even played with once yet (long story). When I finally get it back, it'll be interesting to see if I can get along with it, or if it ends up evicted from my case like yours.
