Erica Synths - Pro Audio reviews the Fusion VCO 2

ericasynths.lv

The Erica Synths Fusion VCO 2 delivers an impressive sound palette, excelling in warmth and character, making it a standout choice for those seeking rich, distorted tones. Its dual tube stages enhance versatility, catering well to both sustained and percussive applications. However, while its unique sound can be a significant draw, it may not suit those who prefer a more traditional oscillator sound. Priced at around 360 euros, it offers great value for its capabilities, though its niche appeal might limit its broader usability. Overall, it's a compelling choice for adventurous sound designers.

Erica Synths Fusion VCO V2 is dark and full of terrors - gearnews.com

gearnews.com

The Erica Synths Fusion VCO V2 delivers a rich tapestry of sound with its tube-driven crunch and versatile waveforms. Its innovative detune function, utilizing BBD delay lines, creates a unique sonic drift that sets it apart from typical oscillators. However, while it excels in sound shaping and offers a visually striking design, its complex functionality may overwhelm beginners. Overall, for those seeking a dark and textured sound, this oscillator is a compelling choice, though it may require a learning curve to fully exploit its capabilities.
