Tiptop Audio - Z-DSP NS · Tech Review ⟋ RA

ra.co

Tiptop Audio's Z-DSP NS impresses with its ability to deliver pristine digital effects that are often more vivid than comparable software. Its updates, including better sound quality and a user-friendly mix control, enhance its longstanding reputation. Clock modulation transforms it into a versatile sound-shaping tool, offering users a creative playground of unique sonic textures. However, at €429, some may question its value compared to computer-based alternatives. The Z-DSP remains a powerful tool for those who appreciate hands-on control in their music production, but it may not be the most budget-friendly choice for everyone.

Z-DSP NS

The Tiptop Audio Z-DSP NS is the update version of the homologous famous cartridge-based Eurorack multi-effects module. It got an all new design of its analog circuitry, contributing to a lower noise signal path, clearer sound of the entire frequency range, lower distortion and better immunity to noise emitted by other modules sharing the same power supply. The new front-panel matches Tiptop’s colorful design. The powerful Z-DSP engine remains the same as the original Z-DSP module and all cards are compatible across both versions. http://tiptopaudio.com/zdsp-ns/
