Description
Designed for the heavy-hitting enthusiast, the Ibanez Xiphos Iron Label 7 String electric guitar is a force to be reckoned with. This guitar, made for metal and high-octane hard rock, offers a powerful, clean, and open sound. Its Okoume body delivers a bright, solid sound, while the durable 5-piece maple/walnut neck-through design ensures stability and long-lasting use.
The ebony fretboard not only enhances the guitar's rich sustain but also provides smooth playability, especially with its 24 jumbo frets. The DiMarzio D-Activator pickups bring the tone to life, offering excellent harmonic overtones and a tight low-end response for that bone-rattling, earth-shattering tone you crave.
The guitar's Edge-Zero II bridge design features a lower profile tremolo for playing comfort and a stud lock function for stable tuning. Precision and a smooth feel are guaranteed with the inclusion of Gotoh machine heads. The Xiphos 7-string is not just about performance; it's about style too. Sporting an all-black look, it's a guitar that means business. An Ibanez gig bag is also included for easy transportation and protection.

LePage can be seen using this guitar in a music video for "Ego Death", featuring Steve Vai. He occassionally features the guitar in Instagram stories.
Mentioned as a part of the rig in recording the 2022 album "Remember That You Will Die", according to an interview published in November 2022 issue of Guitar World. Used for the song "Bloodbath".
Sure. I used the black Ibanez AZ seven-string and my Ibanez signature, the red SLM10. There were some AZ six-strings, and I did the nylon stuff… Oh, and the Ibanez RG8 and an S. I definitely used an Ibanez Iron Label Xiphos. That guitar inspired “Bloodbath” to be so heavy. I probably played a couple of Tim’s guitars.
