Back in 1999 Billy first ordered a guitar from me. When I asked what it should look like, Billy dug out a Bo Diddley album and his old red leatherette Klira guitar. For the headstock shape he went to his neighbor to borrow an old Vox Ace guitar that had a remarkable headstock. The result was Billy's slender looking Buff Medway Cadillac guitar.

Last year Billy came up with the idea to make a series of 13 guitars after his Buff Medway Cadillac. This Billy Childish Cadillac features a slim 1 1/4 inch body with red leatherette covering and white piping on the side. Two dogear AlnicoV P-90's pickups with chrome covers, a horse shoe vibrato and Billy's iconic Hangman logo
