Fender American Professional Stratocaster HH Shawbucker review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Fender American Professional Stratocaster HH Shawbucker is a versatile guitar that deftly blends traditional Fender styling with Gibson-esque humbuckers. The upgrades, including new pickups and a pop-in vibrato arm, make it stand out. While some purists might frown upon dual humbuckers on a Strat, the Shawbuckers deliver a smooth, versatile sound that ranges from jazzy blues to classic rock. The new neck shape and taller frets enhance playability. However, the dual humbuckers may lose some of the classic Strat 'twang', making it less distinctive. Overall, it's a successful evolution of the American Standard series.

Simply good

The new Fender American pro with double shawbucker pickup is a good guitar. It has the punch of a les paul but the feel of a stratocaster. The Strat tones are still there because of the coil splitting. Worth giving it a try when you have the chance :).
