Build quality

  • Fender cables are noted for their heavy-duty thickness, comparable to a PC power cable, making them feel robust and durable.

    Source
  • Some users note that Fender cables may have more strain on solder joints due to the design of their jack connections, potentially leading to failures over time.

    Source

Setup and maintenance

  • Owners recommend using Neutrik connectors for reliability, as they're easier to repair and maintain compared to sealed plastic moulded fittings.

    Source
  • Looping the cable through the amp's handle can prevent stress on the input jack, reducing the risk of damage when accidentally stepped on.

    Source
  • It's recommended to practice the "over-under" wrapping technique to extend cable life by preventing tangles and reducing stress on the cable.

    Source
  • Soldering skills are beneficial for cable repair, as most failures occur at the solder joints within the plug, making it a quick fix for those capable.

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • A 5-meter cable length is often preferred for bedroom practice, providing enough length to move around while connected to a small amp like the Vox Pathfinder 10.

    Source

User experience

  • A Fender coily cable has been reported to last over five years despite regular use, highlighting its durability.

    Source
  • Repairability is crucial; cables with unscrewable ends allow easy access to solder points, making them preferable for longevity.

  • Owners of Fender Professional Series cables appreciate the lifetime warranty, allowing easy exchanges at local guitar shops if failures occur.

    Source

Comparisons

  • Whirlwind Leader cables are praised for their robust rubber sleeves, providing better strain relief than the heat-shrink tubing used on Fender cables.

    Source

Features and functionality

  • Angled jacks are noted to be more durable, especially when looping cables through a strap, reducing stress on the connectors.

If you are looking for disappointment in lead-shape look no further.

This cable is cheap, duh, otherwise it wouldn't be on my list. Problems with this cable: Contact make noise within 3 months of use. The cable is not straight, it wrinkles like an earthworm in tomato soup. Obvious background noise is obvious.

Do not buy, unless you want to bug someone.

Beautiful cable

I really liket the color of the cable, which combines very well with my sonic blue fender amplifier (that`s the motive I bought them hahaha). But the quality of the cable and the signal are very good regarding the price.

Varios de mis amigos dicen que es un cable muy malo, yo lo considero, por su precio, uno de los mejores en gama media
