Ed King Guitar
The 12” radius neck and 2 post trem makes for a great feel. The pups are custom shop and its sounds just like Ed Kings strat on SWA. Build quality is exceptional. Great story with the Custom Shop Designed MIM strats. Their Custom Shop Luthiers went to mexico and spec’d out strats and worked with the workers. Get a custom shop axe at a bargin

YES I HAVE A FENDER oh wait.
I bought this guitar and i love it still. I love it like we love the retarded neighborhood kid who's just kind but we all know something is up. The Made in Mexico Strat is wronged. Yes, wronged. Why is it wronged? Well, the pickups are not as good as a Fender's should be. The bridge is unrefined, what affects tuning by a bit. The overall attention to detail is not sufficient to pass my barrier of satisfaction.
How did I fix my retarded friend? Custom Shop '69 Pickups, Wilkinson Tremolo (Oh My God, I love that Trem.)
That is it! Just replace the most important stuff and you're good to go!

Surprisingly good
Played quite a few of these MIM strats and never got along with them until I came across this one used. Great guitar but doesn't hold a candle to my American Deluxe. Upgraded the pups with Electric City vintage winds and the rest is stock. Stays in tune and feels good in your hands. The finish is cracked and checked for some strange reason (thinking it was left in the sun too long or something). I play this guitar hard and it does deliver in spades.

Sounds good, but needs some changes
I like the guitar, but since it has vintage spacing, the saddles where to small, so I had to change them so that there wasnt any space between the saddles that could make the sustain worse. I also dont like the vintage frets to much, and want to change the neck at one point, getting it with jumbo frets and a non glossy neck. I havent tried the stock pickups, since I bought it used with SD ssd1 pickups. I have the nitro laquer version btw.

having the saddles touch really shouldn't have much effect on sustain, the entire strat bridge assembly is not designed for max sustain, I've just never found saddle-to-saddle contact to make much of a difference... it might be the block, I am not sure if its a proper steel block in the classic strats, another thing to check for in any strat is a bad neck shim or unsanded paint bubbles in the neck pocket unevenly decoupling the neck. I've only ever owned very vintage specced strats and while they can be a bit plunky on attack like all fenders I never had trouble with the sustain even when playing clean as long as I was playing through a good amp. That said, dialing the vibrato springs right, setting the action for optimum unplugged volume and sustain and making sure the neck is vibrating in sympathy with bodya re finer setup points thata re more critical on strats than teles. And if you ae unaware, don't get the pickups too close to the strings.
