The Fender Rumble 15 V3 offers an impressive sound for its size and price, making it a fantastic choice for beginners or those in need of a practice amp. It's lauded for its solid construction and ability to deliver rich sound, which is rare for budget-friendly amps. Good for a beginner in a bedroom, terrible otherwise...

I will be honest with you, this was my first bass amp. I still have it, and for a bit of nostalgia I will occasionally plug in and mess with it. But not once have I ever considered using it for a serious gig or venue where my reputation was on the line. The speaker can not handle low end frequencies or high volumes well, which for a bass amp is an inherent design flaw. Whenever I have taken it to a friend's house to jam it could hardly keep up with a 15 watt guitar amp. So when I took it to my first rehearsal in a band I had joined where the guitar player had a 100 watt amp, I could not hear myself think, let alone play. He would have to put the volume at less than 10% while the drummer would have to hit the drums like he was afraid to break them or something. In my bedroom at a very conservative volume, it sounds decent. The 3-band EQ doesn't give you much to work with, but it's great if you are new and aren't entirely sure how to properly equalize your frequencies. In summary, we have an amp that can only work if you keep the volume low and play by yourself, which is extremely limiting to your growth as a player. I will give credit where credit is due however, and say that this amp had me fooled for a while. I really thought it was the best thing i'd ever heard, until I got a thousand dollar all valve head two years later and never touched this thing again...

Decent amp for beginners

So, I'm a guitar player who recently started to play bass, and didn't want to spend big bucks on my first bass, so after I bought a Squier Jazz Bass, I paired with a this Fender Rumble 15 V3, the thing is that, for home practice, learning and beginning is a decent amp, but if you crank it up a bit high it starts to cringe and muff, so there that, but for learning purposes and practicing in home is a decent amp

A Mighty-mite

I picked this up as a practice amp when I'm out of town. It's surprisingly powerful and good sounding for a solid state amp. I pair it with my Hofner 500/1 Cavern Bass and it delivers well on the different nuances of tone I can get from the Hofner switching. Nice for the price!

chromium_toaster

Solid bass amp.

I bought this with my Squier a while ago. I think it is a very good quality amp and is definitely not incapable. Fantastic price for the quality.

kyle_hawkins1951

ok

it has some problems with handling bass, sound can deteriorate or even drown, not a great rehearsal amp so dont turn it up past half way on any of the settings, ive had 2 of these with the same problem, the v3 25w is a much better amp.

carson_campbell

alright

first and so far only bass amp, but it works really well for the price. no technical difficulties from my experience

dailydoze

Nice practice amp

It's really good. It can take huge amounts of effects and has a good distortion sound. I got this with my Squier Bronco.

fulcrum

Not great

You can't really turn it up, the speaker starts to clip pretty quick. I'm also not super impressed with the sound, it's very muddy to me.

tylerjt

Good for a small cheap amp

When the EQs are right this sounds great with my 5 string. Especially for £90.
