Description

Crafted as an homage to the legendary bassist Cliff Burton, the Morley Cliff Burton Tribute Series Power Fuzz Wah is a versatile and dynamic addition to any guitarist's pedalboard. This pedal uniquely combines fuzz and wah effects to deliver a sonic landscape reminiscent of Burton's iconic sound. The optical circuitry ensures a smooth and noiseless operation, eliminating the scratchiness often found in traditional potentiometer-based pedals.

This pedal features a custom fuzz circuit and a vintage-voiced wah that can be used individually or in tandem, offering a wide range of tonal possibilities. The fuzz circuit replicates the classic, aggressive tones Burton was known for, while the wah section provides a sweeping frequency response, perfect for cutting through a mix or creating dramatic tonal shifts. The pedal is housed in Morley's signature cold-rolled steel chassis, built to withstand the rigors of both studio sessions and live performances.

Designed with the modern bassist and guitarist in mind, this pedal also includes a buffer circuit to maintain signal integrity, even with long cable runs. The combination of these features makes the Morley Cliff Burton Tribute Series Power Fuzz Wah not just a tribute to a legendary musician but a powerful tool for any artist looking to expand their sound palette.

Key Features:

  • Optical circuitry for smooth, noiseless operation
  • Custom fuzz circuit inspired by Cliff Burton’s tone
  • Vintage-voiced wah effect
  • Can use fuzz and wah effects individually or together
  • Built-in buffer circuit for signal integrity

Faithful but needs more options

Amazing sound with this pedal! JUST LIKE CLIFF'S SOUND IN ANESTHESIA! The only problem I have with the wah part is the range of the pedal itself - because it's an optical coupling, there isn't much possibiliy in configuring this pedal, outisde cutting the opening a bit wider in the black plastic shade that stands in front of the optical connector. Morley have told me they didn't have many options to offer me, but said I should experiment. If I had a black plastic to use, I probably would! That said, the sound is absolutely amazing, the fuzz is very nice and has a cool modern/vintage setting which truly colors it differently. Most people will use this to play Metallica stuff, but I just find it very creative and "steely" sound to use all over the place.

Great fuzz / wah pedal

I can not compare this one to the original seventies Morley - Cliff used - 'cause never played one, but if you're playing Metallica, especially the older - Cliff Burton stuff, this is a must have. In order to get as close as possible to his solo tone (Anesthesia, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Orion, etc.) you have to use it with a compressor before and a Big Muff after. Have fun!

Great, Heavy Wah

This wah/fuzz pedal is heavy and is one of my staple pedals that I use for my rig. It delivers that signature wah sound found in the bass solo (Anesthesia) - Pulling Teeth played by Cliff Burton. It's a solid wah and a well built pedal.
