Description

Merging classic design with modern versatility, the Fender Standard Jazz Bass is a timeless icon ready to elevate your musical expression. Since its introduction, the Jazz Bass has been a go-to for artists across genres, from funk and jazz to rock and blues. Its contoured poplar body is not just visually appealing but also comfortable, making it perfect for long sessions on stage or in the studio.

At the heart of its legendary tone are the Fender Standard ceramic single-coil pickups, which offer a broad sonic palette. Fender logo makes it overpriced.

I have one in a Lake Placid Blue, which pretty rare in the market. I'm not say it has bad quality, in fact it's pretty nice. But for this type qualityinstrument, I'm sure there's a tons of that at reasonable price.

The hardware is pretty good. Frets are level pretty well, so I could lowered the action for about 8-10 mm. The tuners, bridge, and electronics, are solid. The pickups, in my opinion, has a deeper characteristics than American Standard which known for the growl. Good or bad, depends on personal taste. Personally I like it more, because when I want to replicate a P tone, it's s easier because the Mexican neck pickup has more thump than American.

Overall, it's a nice bass. The only thing that makes me a little bit disappointed is the price tag.

The Best Bass for Anyone. Yes, Anyone.

When I began playing bass more intensely at my church, I realized that I wanted one of my own so I could practice and mess around at home. I got an older Standard Jazz Bass from my favorite guitar store and knew that this was the best fit for me. The neck fits perfectly in my hand because of its slender width and C-shaped depth, and the tone is classic Jazz bass: smooth, but punchy if played harder. It can do a myriad of styles, from arena rock to indie to pop to anything in between. It's a great instrument to start out on for any aspiring bassist and wouldn't make a bad bass for any seasoned pro on a budget.

Great bass.

Provides a solid consistent sound, have yet to find a bass which fills so much space with a price anything like it.
