I love Hamer guitar. It gives me comfortable playing and very nice sustain. I replaced the set of Gibson classic 57 pickups.

According to Hamer’s records, this guitar was completed and shipped with a natural finish Standard #0731 to Gary Moore on 31/08/84. It could be assumed that the pickups were Hamer Slammers, built by DiMarzio, and since the guitar was sent to Mr. Moore, the neck pickup was probably wired with reverse polarity. Steve Matthers, an expert on Hamer says "Hamer Standards in Natural with the matching flame headstock are rare. I’d guess no more than two or three were made." "Lately I have been experimenting with guitars like Hamers. I've got a Hamer Explorer which they built for me recently. It's a great instrument. They built it out of a beautul piece of maple. It's the closest thing you can have to a tasteful Explorer shape guitar. It sounds really fantastic, so I've been playing that quite a lot..." (Gary Moore)
"It was kind of a rare guitar, even back then. But it was by far my favorite. I searched and searched for one, but never could find one. Is it any wonder that my first sig model was a black explorer? One of my techs in the 90`s, Michael Kaye was always buying and selling guitars, and he was aware that I wanted a Hamer Explorer if he could ever find one. One day he found this one and I bought it immediately"
You can see Smith using a Hamer Standard in this photo which he used on Killers and it also backed up some of his other guitars in the 80's.
This guitar didn't get much usage by him. This guitar was used for the purposes of recording "Can't Stand Losing You" music video, and at 0:21 minute mark, he can be seen playing the particular guitar.
Paul used a customized Hamer Standard (as opposed to a Hamer Standard Custom model) from as early as 1979-83.
Rick own's the very first Hamer guitar made when it was given to him after a show by Jol Dantzig and Paul Hamer and Nielsen has used it on lot's of recordings and shows over the years.
In this photo, dated 1980, Zevon can clearly be seen playing a Hamer Standard Explorer
