Heritage Audio HA-609A Diode Bridge Compressor - Tested | Production Expert

production-expert.com

The Heritage Audio HA-609A Diode Bridge Compressor delivers a compelling blend of vintage charm and modern efficiency. With its rich, analog sound reminiscent of classic Neve designs, it excels in adding warmth and color to mixes, particularly for guitars and drums. Priced significantly lower than its Neve counterparts, it offers impressive build quality and functionality, such as detented pots for precise control. However, the absence of an external side chain and the push switches might not appeal to all users. Overall, it’s a strong contender for those seeking high-quality compression at a more accessible price point.

High Class Compression

I've had this for a year or more at this point so I suppose I should review it. It's not perfect on all material, but when it is... it IS perfect.

I've used it as dual mono comps to track vocals, instruments, etc. Printed tracks through it (great with VSTs) - Used on the drum bus or on the 2 bus it can be perfect with the right material as well.
