Ibanez BTB 700DX Review : Red or Black... - Audiofanzine

audiofanzine.com

While the Ibanez BTB 700DX offers an attractive neck-through design and impressive EMG pickups, it stumbles with a few design flaws and questionable aesthetics. The neck is comfortable for most players, but the unnecessary cutaway on the last fret raises eyebrows. The battery compartment is frustratingly difficult to access, and the basic tuners leave much to be desired for a "boutique" bass. Sound-wise, it excels in clarity and versatility, catering well to rock and metal but falls short for jazz and blues enthusiasts. Overall, it presents a solid option for the price, but some may find its quirks hard to overlook.
