Description
Unlock the hidden potential of your tracks with the Kush Audio UBK Clariphonic Parallel Equalizer. Designed for discerning recording engineers, this dual-channel equalizer is a game-changer in the realm of frequency shaping. Unlike conventional equalizers that can muddle your mix, the Clariphonic offers a revolutionary parallel processing architecture that creates a pristine and airy top end, injecting life and clarity into your recordings.
The Clariphonic simplifies the EQ process with its intuitive controls. Each channel features two primary knobs: Focus and Clarity, allowing you to sculpt your sound with precision. Behind the scenes, the equalizer splits your audio into six parallel paths, emulating the analog warmth of vintage mixing consoles. Four of these paths are dedicated to the Clarity and Focus engines, which treat high and low frequencies separately before merging them with independent gain adjustments. This innovative design offers you the freedom to blend the original and processed signals, akin to a wet/dry mix, ensuring that the richness of your original sound is preserved.
Whether you’re working on full mixes or individual stems, the Clariphonic’s boost-only EQ architecture ensures you can enhance your audio without introducing muddiness. It's the perfect tool for adding lush overtones and that elusive 'air' to your sound, making it an indispensable addition to any studio setup.

- Splits audio into 6 parallel paths: 2 x Clarity engines, 2 x Focus engines, 2 x Full Frequency direct paths

Fast favorite.
I picked this up a few days ago while working on a mix and looking for new ways to make the vocal pop and give it that "pop sheen". So far this thing has been incredibly impressive at achieving what I was after.
It is also dangerously intoxicating. Very easy to over use it. However, when used with discretion I've had spectacular results.
While I was researching it prior to purchase I came across a Tape-Op article that explains what it does & how- outside of a few of my own anecdotal thoughts there isn't much I have to offer to improve on their piece.
Here's the link for that piece:

If you're wondering why you (or I) would buy another EQ this article covers all that ground & more. Solid read.

OMG...!!!
I find it difficult to resist the urge to put it in every chain of every track... ! (I don't do that of course, but the urge to EXPERIMENT is definitely present...). It's like heroin to a junky... just try it across the stereo buss for any song that you have called up on your DAW... turn the knobs while the track is playing... you hear that...!!!???.... "GOTTY...!!!!".... lmao.... now you're hooked...!!! Sit down before you fall down... ponder the possibilities... now go back... remove it from the stereo buss and just add it to the Guitar Buss, or the Keyboards, or just the Low-End.... OMG...!!! now you have to decide the best way to apply it to THIS song because - as you know - every song is different... ENJOY !!!
