A very versatile hybrid amp

The Marshall DBS 7200 is a very versatile hybrid bass amplifier. It's build quality is extremely heavy like the whole DBS-series. I use it with my 7041 cabinet and it basically never runs out of low end. Even heavy distortions and fuzzes don't kill the low end. It's best suited for rock and metal music, but like I said, it can do nearly anything. I've used and lent it for my friends for use on nearly all types of music, from jazz to reggae and modern pop. The EQ is one of the best I've used.

wow, a marshall I have never seen or even heard of!

Oh yes, it was discontinued in the early 2000's, but if you can ever find one online, I recommend giving it a shot. They are usually pretty cheap, too, from 200-400$ and total killers for the price!

In 1998 Danny Lore toured with a Marshall DBS 7200. You can see the amp in this photo. He bought this amp new and did one tour it. This amp had a problem overheating halfway through every set so it was retired after one tour and was never used in a recording studio. He broke a string this night and the opening band passed him that bass to use while they changed the string out for him. This was not his bass.
