its getting old and it wasn't particularly good when it came out

you can use this for background analog style twittering when you don't have a real synthesizer and you wanna sound generic.... I wouldn't feature it on bass though! Its meant to be like a bass station 1 but I had a real bass station 1 back in the day and this sounds so much thinner though the top end is right and for an older VSTi its got a solid enough filter that barely aliases. There was a time when I used this and v station more but I have more synths now and even most modern free virtual synths leave this little guy in the dust. They give it away because you would be a fool to buy it... low CPU hit though :-)

Closest to a Bass Station as you could virtually get but could do with an update

Came for free with some Novation hardware I bought. Obviously, not at much fun as the real thing but the closest you could virtually get. Now that the BS2 is out, the plug-in could do with an update as well (graphics, features, usuability...). But still great value.

good

Came free with scarlett 2i4. I used it sometimes for bass and synth sounds.

Good, but not the best.

It came free with my Launchpad, together with V-Station. Both are okay. Some sounds are actually very good, especially when you look for those 80s sounds. So I am happy that these plugins are part of my collection.

There are some gems in this one...

Play the complete sequence of MIDI tracks as you audition various patches from this VSTi on the bass track and listen to the track change dimensions as the low end 'shifts & morphs'... FUN!!!
