    Source

User experience

Pioneer DJ DDJ-RB Controller Review - Digital DJ Tips

digitaldjtips.com

Pioneer’s DDJ-RB impresses with its solid jog wheels and eight performance pads, all in a compact, USB-powered package. It’s ideal if you’re dedicated to Rekordbox DJ and don’t need more than two decks. However, its lack of new features compared to the DDJ-SB2, such as four-deck control and broader software compatibility, makes it feel like a limited upgrade. While perfect for Rekordbox purists, those seeking versatility might find the DDJ-SB2 a better option. Overall, the DDJ-RB is a decent, albeit niche, choice for budding DJs.

Pioneer DJ DDJ-RB Rekordbox DJ Controller Review And Video

djtechzone.com

The Pioneer DDJ-RB shines as a budget-friendly entry-level DJ controller, boasting the inclusion of a full Rekordbox DJ license—a huge plus for budding DJs. Its design reflects a more refined approach, aligning seamlessly with the higher-end Pioneer DJ gear. The jog wheels and performance sections mirror those of more expensive models, adding to its appeal. However, the DDJ-RB's downsides include a tiny pitch fader and lack of an AUX input, which could be a dealbreaker for serious learners. Despite these flaws, the controller offers substantial value, making it an excellent choice for those entering the DJ world.

Pioneer DDJ-RB Review - Final Scratch

finalscratch.com

The Pioneer DDJ-RB shines as a compact, user-friendly entry-level DJ controller, perfect for Rekordbox enthusiasts. Its responsive performance pads and intuitive layout make it a strong candidate for beginners aiming to dip their toes into DJing. While its build is entirely plastic, it remains robust, and the included Rekordbox DJ license enhances its value. However, limitations such as limited software compatibility and only RCA outputs might deter those seeking more versatility. Despite these drawbacks, its high customer ratings and professional feature set make it a positive choice for aspiring DJs.

Compact and Powerful

My first dj controller and I still use it!

Amazing Low-End DJ System!

I just moved up from a Hercules Instinct, so this is a MAJOR upgrade for me, and boy am I loving both the hardware and the software! It matches up the beats perfectly nearly every time, and makes DJ-ing fun and engaging for me again. It connects with a USB cord, and you can output the sound straight to your computer, so you can practice over your computer speakers or headphones. Great product, would recommend for DJs starting out!

B

Portable and affordable with the benefits of a full Rekordbox DJ license.

Dude fits in a backpack, runs on bus power, and with the included features, is killer for the price range. Plus, with the inclusion of the full Rekordbox DJ Plus Pack, you can then use Rekordbox DJ with any other certified equipment, and all your music is already processed and ready for CDJ's when the time comes.

An amazing value for beginners or backup kit for small/low-pay/no-pay gigs.

Very good beginner dj controller

This is my first DJ controller, and I absolutely love it! It's so good. I do though have a slight problem with getting sound in my headphones, but that's no biggie.

THE BEST

You could say that it is a weapon, because with this I am moved from parties to parties, from locals to locals and even mixing at home is the best for its size what it offers us. Also one thing that I appreciate very much and that I value is that it includes the full version of the Rekordbox, in this way to be able to fully enjoy the wonder.

Nice controller

This is a DJ Controller that's pretty light and small for what it is capable of doing; you can throw an amazing party using just this controller.
