Fantastic guitar!

Serial number low teens out of 50. Serial numbers 49 and 50 were not yet shipped at the time of Roy's death. My guitar is signed at the joint by Roger Fritz and his brother. Had it for a long time, thinking of selling.

P

Hi, I guess this guitar is sold a long time ago. But just wanted to check

P

Even though I cant sunnit it because I am New I know Gary Moore used this guitar. Eric Clapton got one from George and was very fond of it. He was making his ” Tears from heaven” video and between takes he instantly took up this guitar and played it.

Hi Peter. You have good taste in guitars! Lol! Still have it. It really is an exceptional quitar.

P

I guess its not for sale anymore. 😊. What would a price for a guitar like this be ? And from what I understand its quite different from a fender telecaster. Many different details on the guitar and it can have a Gibson, Strat and telesound. Is this true ? Sounds like a dream come true.

jeff_c57

Hey Peter. The guitar has many sounds and, with tweaking amp and guitar setting comes close to sounding like anything you want. I’m not sure what this guitar is worth now but I know the collectors market is really soft now. I did some research when I purchased this guitar and have a few items that are pretty cool. First, I met Mark Fischer, the percussionist with the Snake Stretchers and was the guy who put the deal together between the Fritz Brothers and Roy. Have photos of Roy playing #1 for first time in a hotel room. Also have the rose emblem decal that was on the first ones before they got Roy’s signature. I have the paper that Roy autographed with sharpie and a check by the one on the guitar. Also have a copy of a letter George Harrison wrote to Roger Fritz stating it is the finest guitar he ever played. Have more but can’t recall now.
For sale and what it’s worth, probably but money has to be right. Where do you live?

P

Hi Jeff, Well I live in Sweden so there might be some freight costs as I guess you live in US. That would not be a problem for Me though. George Harrison was actually the reason I got interested in this guitar because he always used a Stratocaster When he could choose. He wanted one 58 ( imagine the Beatles early sound on a Strat) though he got a Strat in dec 64 and used it with the Beatles from 65-70. Although he uses a Strat also on his Japan 91 tour the Buchanan guitar is used most. When I read about that tour it said he used a Roy Buchanan No 6, a Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton feature and a les Paul. I wondered what the hell is a Roy Buchanan bluesmaster No 6. Then I searched for Roy Buchanan. And That was like seeing Jesus. I have never seen anyone come even close to what Roy did on a guitar. Then I read he wanted a guitar that could make it all. Sound like a Gibson, Strat or tele a guitar that could make it all and That was the bluesmaster he said. Actually both Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton got one as a gift from George. They said Eric loved his. Paul I dont know. I also like the fact its a small company making it. But is seems like such a Nice guitar. But I would guess its pretty expensive since its rare.

Here is a Nice interview with George by the way Talking about the Bluesmaster https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lVc8iPysmrw&list=PL-MMe0n-0QJqgNb_ZddeY7tzBIuMltZSE&index=2&t=0s

P

And as a nerd of guitars I Give you what guitars George used during that your: Roy Buchanan Bluesmaster No 6, Fender Stratocaster Eric Clapton model ( red), Gibson les Paul standard 60, Fender unknown 12 String elevtid guitar and a accoustic Gibson / J- 2000. I guess When money is no problem you can have the guitars you want 😊

P

Is 8000 USD a resonable price ?
