What an impressive guitar!
I was at the Guitar Center in Seattle checking out some gear and they told me to check this model that seems to be GC exclusive. Fair enough, I'm a huge ESP and Schecter fan, they hooked me up on an EVH 5150 and with the first strum it blown me away. EMGs are my favorite pickups, too, because there's no way you can go wrong with them for metal. Then, the guitar simply plays like butter, it's fantastic! Out of the box it was smooth, fretwork and action was remarkable (better than what I got on my Gibson Tribute, my PRS Zach Myers and my Yamaha Revstar Standard and they all cost more!).
The finish is stunning, the color is so beautiful, and the satin chrome hardware looks gorgeous.
Definitely recommend this guitar for those into rock/metal that enjoys a fast thin neck.
Love it
Plays beautifully for all types of metal. Love that it's neck thru and came standard with EMG 81/85s.
EMGs are cool but
The EMG setup in this guitar is really cool and makes for a good high output/gain guitar; however, it suffers in clean tones and for that I can't give it a perfect rating. The finish is really nice on it, however it glosses up in spots(especially if you have oily skin naturally or just don't care if your hands are greasy when you start playing) like the neck and by the control knobs and switch. Having only one volume pot makes it easier to control, and I usually have it cranked and on the bridge pickup so I don't really need the second volume pot. All pots and switches are smooth, but you may need to re tighten the nut that holds the pickup switch in place every now and again.

Very good guitar
The guitar has a really nice weight, next to no humming or hissing, and it sounds amazing when playing Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Metallica, and Megadeth songs.
