Critic Reviews

TC Electronic AEON String Sustainer

soundonsound.com

The TC Electronic Aeon Handheld Infinite Sustainer is a budget-friendly alternative to the traditional EBow, offering a similar performance at a fraction of the cost. While it lacks a harmonic mode, the Aeon compensates with an auto-off feature to save battery life. Its unique design requires some adjustment, especially for seasoned EBow users, but once mastered, it delivers effective infinite sustain. Ideal for those looking to explore sustain effects without breaking the bank, the Aeon stands out as a cost-effective and practical choice, though it may take a bit longer to coax the notes to life.

TC Electronic Aeon review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The TC Electronic Aeon Handheld Infinite Sustainer is a commendable alternative to the iconic EBow, offering impressive sustainer sounds at an attractive price. Its brushed aluminum build is durable, and the deeper string clearance is a thoughtful touch. However, its rectangular design might not be as comfortable for long sessions, and sounding out the top E string can be tricky. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Aeon delivers excellent tone, especially on the G and D strings, making it a solid, affordable choice for guitarists seeking infinite sustain.

Quick Hit: TC Electronic AEON - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The TC Electronic Aeon is an affordable and intuitive alternative to the EBow, bringing infinite sustain to your fingertips. It's compact and easy to use, though mastering its technique is essential for optimal sound. The brushed aluminum design prevents slippage, but the ergonomics could use a tweak for better comfort. While the lack of a battery compartment might be a minor inconvenience, its value and simplicity make it an exciting addition to any guitarist's toolkit, especially for those curious about exploring new sonic landscapes without a hefty investment.

Awful

Awful product, takes a while for the unit to start vibrating the string. I have found it works great on the G string, but on the others it needs to be pressed down closer to the string which creates a buzz as the string hits the unit. The channel that sits over the string is quite narrow so any vibrato causes the string to hit the sides. Will be replacing with an Ebow.
