Best value comp

Great for strat positions 2 and 4. Also helps to boost an amp a bit more, and great for switching between singles and humbuckers.

Inexpensive and simple

This pedal was given to me for free at a show once (the guy just bought the helix so he had renounced pedals). What I like over the dynacomp is the sustain and the attack rather than just having a sensitivity which is just the ratio. I like to switch between luscious sustained chords or a funky hard attack lead melodies, but it can also handle simply smoothing out dynamics relatively well. It is supposed to be using vintage based circuits that adds a warm coloring and I can hear it a little bit but not enough to care about that feature. It is a little noisier than I'd like, which I understand is the nature of compression but I have played compression pedals that handle the signal better. Overall, a great beginner pedal for those getting into compression or just a low cost alternative if you are not wanting to shell out for something with similar controls.

Value for money and great quality

Put a pedalboard together after running a multi-effects unit for many years and got a couple of the "big box" tc-electronic pedals including this one. A very impressive pedal for the price point and I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking to get into pedals yourself or if you're like me and just wanted something to reign in the dynamics a bit before you mix proper in your DAW.

a cheap comp that works best in his range.

a cheap comp (probably a behringer rehoused), well constructed and easy to use.

it has a fixed ratio so u can tweak less but is perfect for begginers. i found it limited but it works fine and i love it .

it is big af without a reason, but its part of a tc collection so it must be equal to the others.

for 30´ish dollars is the best.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

always on, cranked or medium level (depends on the amp) sustain at 10:30, attack at 2 :30. just for fatting up my guitar

I think it's a great pedal, I didn't know what compressors could do to my sound until I tried it and that does what it says and more ,it has bloody amazing sustain.

A good budget compressor

Great while engaged, but has that annoying chirp when turned on/off. The work around is to minimize the effect when not needed. But it will "pop" whenever you engage or disengage it. Other than that, it gives a nice effect.

Great quality for low price

One of the best and not so famous compressors. Does a great job and the sustain works like you would want it to work. The only flaw is a small loss of tone while using it for a bass guitar, but I haven't witnessed it on a electric guitar.
