Critic Reviews

VT-1 Vibratrem Review: I also play a lot of blues, blues rock stuff, like... | Marshall | Guitar Effects | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Marshall VT-1 Vibratrem Pedal impresses with its vintage tremolo tones, making it an affordable option for fans of classic rock and roll or blues. Its robust construction promises reliability, even when gigged without a backup. However, the pedal has notable drawbacks, such as a volume drop in the effects loop and an oscillating hiss when not in use, which may deter some users. While the tremolo settings shine, the vibrato is less appealing, described as metallic or flanger-like. Overall, this pedal is a budget-friendly choice for vintage tones but falls short for those seeking versatility or compatibility with heavier music styles.

There might be better Tremolo pedals..

..but these do cost a lot more than this one. With the vibrato option this pedal is very versatile. As someone mentioned the depth could be bigger for rather extreme sounds, but you can get pretty authentic trem/vib sounds with it, at least enough to play covers of some 60s songs etc. It's built like a tank.

Price/quality

Small stompbox with two effects - vibrato and tremolo. You may want to get more depth from this thing, but you won't. Still, it can give you smooth vibrato sound to your guitar and interesting tremolo sounds. You can tweak it's waves to choose type of sound that you need. I won't say that it's agressive, but good enough. Also you can get stereo sounds from it, which is great. As I said it lacks some depth if you want real extreme settings. Also there's a volume boost in tremolo mode which can dissapoint you. It's OK and cheap.

Does the job

Absolutely fine for what it is designed for. Wonderfully cheap as well. I tried the Boss Tremolo alternative and this was just as effective.

ivanrussia

totally disagree … boss tremolo is one of the best… Marshall vibratrem is a wonderful peace of crap…
