Owner Insights

We analyzed real musician discussions from forums and Reddit to find what players love, question, and tweak about Yamaha THR100H Dual.

Comparisons

  • Users note a lack of ultra high gain modeling compared to the THR10X, making the THR100H Dual more suited for clean and moderately dirty tones.

    Source

    Source
  • The amp handles effects like wah, chorus, and delay effectively, integrating well into existing pedalboards due to the slim design of the included footswitch.

    Source
  • Although the amp excels at low volumes, its power amps are considered insufficient for live performances without an external power amp.

    Source

Software and compatibility

    Source
  • The Yamaha THR100H Dual's FX loop resets to off each time the amp is powered on, requiring the included footswitch to enable it.

    Source
  • The footswitch includes a channel combination option, allowing for a dual amp model sound that simulates two guitars playing together.

    Source

Build quality

    Source
  • With dual inputs, the amp allows two guitarists to connect and play simultaneously, each channel directed to a separate speaker in a dual cab setup.

    Source
  • The THR100H Dual is effective in stereo setups, but users recommend external power amps for adequate live performance volume.

    Source

Mods and upgrades

Fantastic studio amp for maximal versatility

Two channels to use seperatly or combined, five amp models, five different power amps, a great emulated output (Headphones/DI-Line) with a ton of different cabinet/mic options (IRs can easily be imported) and incredible dynamics for a modeling amp put this amplifier in a row with the best solutions for (studio) guitarists in terms of technical versability and tonal options.
