Acoustica Pianissimo Virtual Grand Review and Guide — Pianologist

pianologist.com

The Acoustica Pianissimo Virtual Grand Piano is a strikingly affordable choice for pianists seeking a virtual alternative to the costly Steinway Model D. Praised for its low CPU usage, Pianissimo excels with smooth, dynamic tones and a built-in recorder that supports creative composition. Its sound quality impresses, capturing the grandeur of a Steinway without taxing your computer. On the downside, it lacks user preset slots, requiring a workaround to save custom settings. Nonetheless, with robust features like tone control, subtle sound effects, and real-time keyboard animation, Pianissimo delivers excellent value and performance, making it a smart buy for musicians on a budget.

this thing is pretty rad...

I use this to write tracks with. I tend to play more than i program but i do, do my fair share of programming. if im working on a track where its going somewhere to be sold/licence for something. i lean toward just putting recording real piano. i dont have a grand piano, so i book the shortest studio session i can get it and knock it out on a Steinway model D if that bad boy is available, but.. for the most part i'll use this, with a little EQ and shaping it delivers the color i want to the track when it comes to having Grand piano on it.
