The "music" scales are screaming "Get off...you're too PHAT !!"

Been a fan of Synapse Audio ever since I had a few quid and went looking for a power synth. I have a ton of vsts already, but I wanted a go-to that had absolute quality. I tried demos of many, inclusing serum, which I just couldn't get on with. I liked it's modulation capabilities, but not it's core sound. I arrived at Dune 3 because I am an avid reader of Computer music magazine, and they gave away a cut-down version called DuneCM , and I got a lot of mileage out of that synth, despite it's limitations. I loved its thick punchy sound So I decided my power-synth would be Dune 3

Demo'd The Legend and within about 3 minutes I was sold. Synapse Audio have an incredible sound. Rich, Phat, Full-bodied and it has a genuine warmth and this great very subtle saturated edge, as if every sound has a silver lining. I own Monark, and Arturia's emulations, but The Legend is truly worthy of the name. Stunning !!

Great write-up! I was impressed in my demos too. It's so different, tonally, than the other minimoog clones out there... has a bit of a harder edge, and it isn't afraid to sound every so slightly metallic at times. Synapse has captured aspects of the real D's personality that have eluded other emulations.

Favorite Moog emulation ever

I own Monark thanks to being a Komplete user. It doesn't sound bad at all & even has a great level of customization on the B side (i.e. the back panel).

One day though, I stumbled upon a Minimoog shootout video while looking into the Arturia V collection (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1h07ws--CM&feature=emb_title). I was so impressed by Synapse Audio's The Legend in the shootout that I read up some more on it & eventually got around to buying a copy.

Again, Monark is not a bad synth. It's just that The Legend has this "edge" to it that gives me so much inspiration during the production phase. It manages to capture not only the Moog sound but also the "vibe" of a Moog (at least from my limited experience with other people's Sub/Subsequent 37 synths). You probably have to hear The Legend to see what I'm talking about; it's such a vibe!

I tried a demo. I own a MIDImoog, my best friend has a voyager. I would take this over the behringer model D soundwise

High praise to choose a plugin emulation over actual hardware.

This could wind up going down as my second favorite lead/bass synth ever (first being FabFilter One; that thing has been stuck on every track of mine since 2016 now).

Best Moog Software in 2024

excellent and near to Minimoog and Moog One. I think it is the best Moog Synthesizer Software in 2024.
