AIR Music Technology's Loom impresses with its innovative approach to additive synthesis, offering a user-friendly interface that simplifies complex sound design. The synth's dual modes, Edit and Morph, provide versatile sound shaping and dynamic modulation possibilities, making it a powerful tool for both novice and experienced sound designers. While the sound quality is praised for its richness and CPU efficiency, the limitation of being available only as a 64-bit AU/VST could be a hurdle for users with older DAW configurations. Overall, Loom is lauded as an intuitive and efficient synth, perfect for creating unique, evolving sounds.

Cleanest , pristinest synth I've ever heard. Very accessible for an additive synth. The sound quality is great for when you need wide shimmering pads and impactful leads. It has a very direct edgy sound, and lots of possibilities for exaggerating harmonics
