D16 Group Phoscyon 2 review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

D16 Group's Phoscyon 2 delivers an exceptional emulation of the classic TB-303, packed with inspiring content and enhanced features that make it a must-have for electronic music producers. With its excellent sound engine and musical distortion options, it excels in recreating the iconic acid sounds. However, it lacks a stand-alone version, requiring a DAW to access its sequencer, which may deter some users. Despite this drawback, the Phoscyon 2 stands tall in a crowded market, offering a rewarding experience for those looking to capture that vintage vibe with modern conveniences.

D16 Phoscyon 2 Review - gearnews.com

gearnews.com

D16 Group's Phoscyon 2 is a standout 303 emulation, delivering a versatile and authentic sound that pays homage to its legendary predecessor. Its extensive tweaking options and improved sequencer make it a joy to work with, particularly for those frustrated by the original's complexities. The user interface is notably cleaner and more functional, enhancing the overall experience. However, a lack of root note selection in the randomizer could leave some users wanting more. Despite this minor drawback, Phoscyon 2 shines with its rich features and solid sound quality, positioning itself as a worthy addition to any producer's toolkit.

D16 Group Phoscyon 2 Acid Line review

musictech.com

D16 Group's Phoscyon 2 delivers an exhilarating acid synthesis experience, thanks to its stunning sound emulation and user-friendly sequencer. The extensive effects section and improved parameter controls make it a versatile tool for creators. However, the fixed distortion in the signal chain limits some flexibility, and while it boasts new features, it still fundamentally mirrors its predecessor. For those seeking a genuine TB-303 experience, this plugin is a must-have, but existing users of the first version may find the upgrade less compelling. Overall, it’s a powerful tool that dances on the line between nostalgia and innovation.

A great TB-303 clone

Could be the best TB plugin in the market today. Even "Mr Acid" Kai Tracid approves. :) Most fun I've had in years, exploring a new synth plugin. A bit hard to use though.

Just amazing!

It's an all around solution to anything 303. With it I am able to model almost any 303 in existence.
