Description
The Alusonic T-Special/P90 is a one-of-a-kind solid-body electric guitar that blends cutting-edge materials with timeless playability. The body is milled from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminium, offering exceptional resonance, sustain, and a distinctive modern aesthetic. Finished in a stunning mirror polish (with custom finishes available), this guitar is as much a statement piece as it is a tone machine.
A bolt-on hard maple neck with a smooth satin urethane finish ensures effortless playability, while the custom ‘C’ shape and medium jumbo frets provide a comfortable and familiar feel. A 9.5” radius maple fingerboard (also available in Graphitex or Rosewood) delivers a balance between vintage warmth and contemporary ease of play.
Powering its sound are Alusonic Alnico 5 P-90 pickups, delivering rich, articulate tones with a perfect mix of grit and clarity. A Hipshot hardtail bridge and Gotoh tuners ensure rock-solid tuning stability and smooth performance. The guitar is loaded with high-end components, including a titanium single-action truss rod, an aluminium pickguard, and an aluminium 4-bolt neck plate for maximum durability.
Designed for players who want a unique sonic and visual experience, the Alusonic T-Special/P90 is lightweight at just 3.2 kg and offers an array of custom options, including alternative finishes, carbon fiber back material, and single-coil pickups. In the video Editors – Live at Hurricane Festival 2024 (Full Set), Justin Lockey can be seen playing a Alusonic T-Special/P90 guitar throughout the set. A good look at it can be had at 6:27 into the video. His appears to have a clean mirror (or gray) finish, with a black pickguard. He also seems to have black tape covering the pickup selector switch.
