Critic Reviews

Behringer C5A & C50A

soundonsound.com

The Behringer Behritone C5A is a budget-friendly nod to classic mix tools like the Auratone 5C, but it doesn't quite hit the mark for critical mixing. While affordable, its severely limited frequency range and poor transient response make it less effective for precise mix balancing compared to pricier options like the Avantone MixCube. It struggles with low-end clarity and mid-range detail, offering a somewhat veiled soundstage. However, it could still serve cash-strapped home studios for basic monitoring tasks, particularly for lead vocal automation. Overall, a practical choice for those on a tight budget, but serious mixers might want to invest more for better accuracy.

It's a studio must

Before I owned this my mixes were all over the place, It was a guessing game for the most part. I can say my mixes have drastically improved. This monitor emulates speakers which will sound how they would in a real world scenario. This isn't a Monitor replacement as it's more of an add on. These compete with Avatone's without the price tag.
