I mean, it's ok depending on what you expect of it.

The preamp section is pretty much a two channel Sansamp knockoff with some canned effects thrown in. YMMV, but that's not what I use it for. Rare for a guitar amp, it has direct inputs for its stereo (yes, stereo) power amp, making it essentially a transparent powered 2x12 cabinet. Mine has the old Jensen speakers before they started using Bugera, so it does pretty well for cleans, but a touch on the harsh side for anything dirtier. It will probably do better with some Celestions when I can get my hands on them.

Gets the job done, kinda.

I've had this combo amp for over a decade and its still my only amp. The metal tones you can get out of this amp with no pedals is... okayish at best. The main draw to this amp is that its a cheap 2x12 and this is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for." Honestly you're probably better with a Line 6 combo amp whether you want to play metal or not. On top of it all, this amp is unreasonably heavy in terms of weight and doesn't have any casters. So don't get this amp, save up and get something better.

Not bad for reasonable price.

Bought mine for $80 on Craigslist. Served me well until I could save money for a Vox tube amp , which I have since purchased. Have no plans to get rid of it. I am using it for my practice drum machine and for my Ovation Elite acoustic/electric guitar. Good set of tones, effects, and jacks. Bought the footswitch for it on eBay for $12 plus $6 shipping. The midi foot controller , fc-1010 I think, could take this amp lot farther.
