Donner Mod Square II Pedal Review - Killer Guitar Rigs

killerguitarrigs.com

The Donner Mod Square II is a compact powerhouse, offering an impressive 16 modulation effects that cater to a wide range of styles, from lush choruses to vintage phasers. Its robust build and user-friendly controls make it suitable for both beginners and seasoned players. However, while the sound quality is commendable, some effects, particularly the Wah settings, can feel less authentic compared to dedicated pedals. The need for a separate power supply might also be a drawback for some. Overall, this pedal delivers exceptional value for those looking to expand their modulation palette without breaking the bank.

Review: Donner MOD Square II for keyboards - Sand, software and sound

sandsoftwaresound.net

The Donner Mod Square II packs a punch for its tiny size and budget-friendly price, offering a range of modulation effects that can enhance keyboard tones. While its build quality is commendable and the sound is generally good—especially for electric piano—some effects, like the rotary, leave much to be desired. The small legends on the pedal can be a pain to read, especially in dim lighting. Still, for $40-$50, it's a solid choice for musicians looking to add some flavor to their sound without breaking the bank. Just don't expect studio-quality rotary effects, and you'll be pleased with this little gem.

good for the price

my experience with this pedal has been positive so far, however I have noticed a volume drop on some of the settings, flanger ii to be specific, but I still love this little box of modulation.
