Description
Modern Maestro Fuzz Tone FZ-1S
Fuzz Master is a modern take on vintage Maestro Fuzz Tone FZ-1S, using low-noise MPSA18 transistors for buffer/mixing signals and BC109C for gain stages. The pedal has a mod allowing to switch signal clipping using BC550 transistors (same as in Maestro one), red LEDs and NOS Germanium diodes. The pedal uses soft footswitches in combination with Attiny microcontroller and relays for switching bypass and mode. In addition, to turn the pedal off/on or change the fuzz mode it allows to temporarily enable/disable it using long-press (longer than 350ms).
Controls:
Volume - effect output level. Balance - mixes clean signal with fuzz. Sustain - controls amount of gain. Voice switch - toggles tree clipping options: Classic (BC550 transistors, same as in Maestro one), Loud (red LEDs) and Smooth (NOS Germanium) diodes. Bypass and Mode footswitches - switch bypass and fuzz mode respectively, both could be used momentary on long press (> 150ms).
Power Supply: 9V DC adapter (Boss-style negative center) not included. No batteries. They are bad for the environment 🌲.
