REVIEW: Ltd. Edition Bowie Stylophone | Performer Mag

performermag.com

The Ltd. Edition Bowie Stylophone emerges as a nostalgic collectible but falls short as a functional instrument. While it carries the allure of Bowie’s legacy, its plastic construction and unresponsive design make it frustrating to play. The sounds produced are limited and often unpleasant, leading to a clunky experience that’s more gimmick than groove. Though it features some pitch and vibrato options, the overall lack of usability makes it hard to recommend for serious musicians. If you're a die-hard Bowie fan, it might be a fun addition to your collection, but don’t expect to craft any memorable tunes with it.

Incerdible pocket novelty item

My sister ordered me one of these and the matching case for christmas, but they ran out of the case, so they sent me TWO stylophones, a hat and the big bag. It feels made of plastic, which.... it is. But for the price it is, it's ridiculously easy to use! Pull it out of the box, pop some batteries in, and you're good to go! They even include a booklet with some tabs to play! And of course, it sounds great (but, seeing as it's a novelty instrument, one sound and one control, vibrato)
