A post from feb. 4th 2016 on Electro-Harmonix Key9 website shows a Picture of Bootsy Collins with a Key9 pedal, under the title "KEY9 Keeps It Funky". EHX quote: "Bassist extraordinaire, Bootsy Collins, just added a KEY9 Electric Piano Machine to his funktacular setup."
The KEY9’s “Steel Drums” setting is given a shout-out in this April 27, 2019 Twitter post.
Shout to @JRossShow sound crew and Riccardo Damien for an amazing sound mix. @LykkeLi for the gorgeous vocal and performance. The band Sarah Jones, Andrea Goldsworthy and Rosemary Hughes and @EHX’s k9 pedal for making my guitar sound like a steel drum.
When asked 'Outside of bands, what’s the most exciting thing happening in music right now?', Harry replied with 'The first thing I was drawn to was this piece of equipment that I’ve recently bought... It’s a guitar effects pedal that turns your guitar into any number of keyboard sounds. You can do steel drums on it.'
Time for a bit of #ehx parallel mixing courtesy of my @oldbloodnoise #signalblender brave new world parallel universe #LordOfTheStrings.
