Awesome acoustic guitar!
Epiphone created the Epiphone Masterbilt series acoustic guitars. The DR-500MCE is built great, the materials used to make this guitar are very solid. The playability and tone of this guitar will rival guitars up to $2000 or more. It's that friggin' good!
Doesn't matter if you're a guitar snob or just a person who loves playing a very good sounding guitar. This guitar is top notch. Its one of Epiphone's all-time best acoustic guitars.
I got friends and acquaintances who can afford the high dollar guitars any day. I've let them play this guitar without knowing what it is. Every person said things like "What is this?" This sounds so warm, loud and full"
I don't say this about many guitars that I own or have owned. But I don't see myself every selling this guitar. From the factory this was set up great and sounded amazing out of the box.
Do yourself a favor.. if you can find one of these, grab it! They are discontinued and will only go up in value. I pinch myself sometimes to know I'm alive and to realize I have an amazing acoustic for about 1/4 the price of other comparable sounding guitars.
Taylor, Martin and Gibson "Look sharp!" You got another guitar on the block and it's not a new kid. It's a highly worthy one and this guitar is here to hold its respectable place in acoustic guitar history.
I'll spare you with listing the specs. You can look that up for yourself. I will say the quality of wood, the great finish, fretboard inlays, the bone saddle and nut, the eSonic preamp and NanoMag & NanoFlex pickups reveal just a little bit of what you can expect with this awesome acoustic guitar!

High Quality.
With its double pickup, you can get very versatile tones. Its resonance and sound quality are very good. I must say that my grip on the neck is negative.
I didn't use Martin or Taylor, but I would definitely recommend the DR over their entry-level models.

Very gud, (I copied the review btw if you were wondering why it was so long)
Epiphone's Masterbilt DR-500MCE acoustic-electric guitar incorporates decades of acoustic guitar building know-how with premium tonewoods. This ensures a well-balanced tonal range with rich, resonant bass, clearly defined mids, and transparent treble with crisp articulation. Despite its modest price tag, the Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500MCE acoustic-electric guitar is built with solid tonewoods unlike the laminates used by other makers in this price range. The solid Sitka spruce top has hand-scalloped Sitka spruce braces, mahogany kerfing, and a rosewood bridge helps transmit the guitar's rich tonality. Epiphone handcrafts the dovetail neck joint for maximum tone transfer and uses traditional hide-glue construction, giving the instrument the look and feel of a vintage classic. The solid mahogany back and sides produce a mellow, round tone with ample projection. The 20-fret, hand-profiled mahogany neck is set into the body at the 14th fret while the fretboard sports traditional split-diamond pearl inlay work. The DR-500MCE comes equipped with the eSonic2 preamp system that's manufactured in collaboration with Shadow Germany and includes an intuitive tuner. When in tuner mode, the guitar's output is muted for silent tuning onstage. Pressing the tuner button lets you connect and disconnect the guitar cable noise-free. The preamp has a full suite of controls to fine-tune your sound, including settings a Master Volume, NanoFlex Tone, NanoMag Tone, Stereo Blend, and a low battery alert. A phase switch helps fight feedback. Its use of two ultralight 2032 lithium watch batteries delivers much longer life than the usual 9V battery used in other preamps. Under the bone saddle is Shadow's proprietary NanoFlex, a low-impedance pickup. Not a piezo, this unique flexible sensing material features integrated active electronics into the Epiphone electric guitar that not only pick up string vibration, but also top and body vibrations for a truly acoustic tone without the harshness of piezos. Complimenting the NanoFlex is the revolutionary NanoMag pickup mounted at the harmonic-rich, end of the fingerboard. Exclusively from Shadow, the NanoMag features 3 Samarian-Cobalt magnets and an integrated active circuit to capture all the highs and lows, including a wide range of harmonics. With your choice of either a 1/4" mono output blending both pickups, or a 1/4" stereo output splitting the two pickups, the Epiphone Masterbilt guitar pickup gives you incredible flexibility and the opportunity to create the perfect acoustic tone live. Other features on the Epiphone Masterbilt acoustic electric guitar include quality vintage-style Grover Sta-Tite 16:1 ratio machine heads; bone nut and saddle; imitation tortoise pickguard; nickel hardware; and a bound body, neck, and headstock.

Vintage construction, historic Sound
One of the best acoustic guitars I have played on ,regardless of price. Superb tone and sustain with such playability and range. With it's all-solid wood construction based on a vintage build and an aged-wood sound it is and amazing instrument. Then you add the neck and bride pickups, eSonic2™ preamp system, NanoFlex™ Tone, NanoMag™ Tone, stereo blend, built in tuner and auto-mute sockets and what you end up with is a near perfect guitar!
