Use cases and applications

  • It's ideal for players transitioning from nylon classical or bass, offering electric neck dimensions with a steel-strung acoustic sound.

    Source

Comparisons

  • Some users suggest the LTD TL-6 as a cheaper alternative for those who don't need the amplified features of the A6 Ultra.

    Source

Setup and maintenance

  • Adjusting the humbucker's pole pieces and height can resolve uneven string volume, particularly for the 1st and 2nd strings.

    Source
  • Using acoustic strings with a humbucker can lead to decreased magnetic response due to non-magnetic phosphor bronze wraps, affecting output balance.

Godin A6 Ultra Hybrid User Review | Guitar Jar

guitarjar.co.uk

The Godin A6 Ultra impresses with its hybrid versatility, offering both electric and acoustic tones in one package. Its comfortable design and sturdy build make it a reliable choice for live performances. The acoustic sound is well-rounded, though still piezo-like, while the electric pickup can be muddy but adds warmth when blended. Downsides include unlabelled controls and no included hard case, but these are minor against its overall appeal. A worthwhile investment for those seeking hybrid functionality.

Excellent guitar - perfect for the stage

I think you just have to keep in mind what the purpose of this guitar is. This is a guitar for playing live. Its got a great piezo sound through an amp and the neck humbucker gives you the flexibility to go elctric at the flick of a switch. Recording? You could do better, particularly with the acoustic tone. You can't really do anything percussive which is a big part of a good acoustic sound IMO.
