Review: Epiphone Hummingbird PRO - is it right for you?

reviewingthis.com

The Epiphone Hummingbird Pro impresses with its iconic aesthetics and solid construction, making it a great choice for intermediate guitarists. Its warm, balanced tone suits various music styles, and the electro-acoustic features add versatility, although plugged-in sound can't match the natural acoustic tone. While the action might be slightly high for some, the guitar offers excellent playability and consistent tuning. Overall, it's a reliable all-rounder with a big, mellow sound that excels in casual playing, songwriting, and live performances.

Epiphone Hummingbird Pro Acoustic Guitar Review - Beginner Guitar HQ

beginnerguitarhq.com

The Epiphone Hummingbird Pro hits a sweet spot for budget-conscious guitarists seeking a taste of Gibson's legacy. While it doesn't fully capture the warmth or output of its high-end counterpart, this model impresses with its solid craftsmanship, vibrant tone, and beginner-friendly playability. The piezo-electric pickup and Shadow ePerformer preamp enhance its acoustic sound, though the absence of a built-in tuner is a minor drawback. With its stylish design and reliable hardware, it’s a versatile option for rock, blues, and country enthusiasts. For those who can't splurge on a Gibson, this is a worthy, mid-range alternative.

perfect

they knew that they were doing naming this thing "pro." I have had this guitar for 5ish years now and it lives up to the name. not only does this guitar look absolutely beautiful, but it sounds like no other acoustic i've ever played. the build quality of this guitar is very good. the only negative I can think of is that the fretboard is so long that the frets are really far apart, which I never truly consciously realized until I started teaching my girlfriend how to play guitar, and realized that this guitar is not a beginner friendly one due to the fret size. on the plus side, if you use this guitar as your main guitar, you'll look like a pro when you pick up a different guitar with a smaller fretboard lmao. aside from that, this guitar really gas no faults.

Great Guitar

Use this guitar daily and is on every song i record. beautiful sound even when strings haven't been changed in half a year,

T

beautiful tone, confusing preamp

I have this guitar in cherry burst, it sounds huge, its very resonant, and great value for money. The pickup system is vey natural sounding. My only complaint, I will often rest my hand on the bridge whilst playing because I have a very percussive style of playing, the pickup picks up all this noise, and the pre amp is a little confusing to use

It felt like a common man's guitar and that's what I wanted and that's why I love Epiphone. It sounds like those guitars Robert Johnson was playing. Time went on and different people were offering me guitars. Gibson offered me guitars. And I thought, well Gibson is nice but the Epiphone sounded more accessible. It sounded uglier (laughs). That's my sound. My hand is like the claw. The sound reminded me of me! The guitar, like me is shouting (waves his fists in the air): "I will not die!" It's old and beautiful and ugly and dirty. It's just so sweet baby!
